Thank you for using VocaGlance. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (VocaGlance).
Anonymous Identifier: VocaGlance uses anonymous authentication (Firebase Auth). We do not require you to provide a name, email address, or phone number. Upon first launch, a random anonymous user ID is generated and stored securely to sync your progress across devices and reinstalls.
Device Identifier: We collect a non-personal device identifier (generated by the app) solely to restore your vocabulary data if you reinstall the app. This identifier is not linked to your identity.
Usage & Learning Data: We collect in-app interaction data such as words learned, quiz results, streak counts, daily goals, and session activity. This data is stored in your anonymous user profile on Firebase Firestore and is used to personalize your experience and improve the app.
Push Notification Token (FCM): With your permission, we collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver push notifications. This token is stored in your anonymous profile and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Premium Purchases: Subscription and purchase transactions are handled securely through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play Store. We do not store or process your financial information directly.
Crash & Diagnostic Data: We collect anonymized crash reports and diagnostic information via Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix bugs. This data includes device model, OS version, app version, and stack traces at the time of a crash. No personally identifiable information is included.
Analytics & Usage Events: We use Mixpanel to collect anonymized event-level analytics (e.g., which screens were visited, which features were used, how often). This helps us understand usage patterns and improve the product. All events are associated with your anonymous user ID — no real-world identity is tracked.

You can delete your account and all associated vocabulary progress directly from the application settings. Upon deletion, all of your user records on Firestore (including learning history, collections, and favorites) are permanently purged. Anonymized crash and analytics events stored by Crashlytics and Mixpanel may be retained for up to 90 days as part of their standard data retention policies.
With your explicit consent, we may send you push and local notifications for daily vocabulary reminders, streak notifications, mistake reviews, and goal updates. You can opt out at any time via your device settings or directly within the app.
VocaGlance is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
